Description

The Fleet Associate is responsible for overseeing COTL maintenance, movement, inspections, usage tracking, and cost monitoring, while ensuring full compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
The role requires strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills, combined with a hands-on approach to daily vehicle operations, and is best suited for a detail-oriented, physically active individual with a strong interest in the automotive environment.


Key Responsibilities

Specifically, the Fleet Associate at Peach can expect to undertake the following tasks and activities:

Lot Management & Compliance 

• Oversee the safety, order, and compliance of all vehicles on the Peach lot in line with 
established SOPs. 
• Conduct regular lot walks to ensure all vehicles are correctly positioned, secure, and in 
presentable condition. 

Vehicle Check-Ins 
• Perform structured vehicle check-ins upon arrival, accurately capturing all required information 
including condition, mileage, fuel level, and any pre-existing damage. 

Vehicle Movement 
• Drive and relocate vehicles within and between branches as directed by the Fleet Manager. 
• Ensure all vehicle movements are logged and authorized before execution. 

Preventive Maintenance 
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all vehicles on the Peach lot, ensuring each vehicle is checked on time, and records are updated accordingly. 
• Flag any vehicle requiring unscheduled attention promptly. 

Vehicle Handovers 
• Facilitate vehicle handovers to customers, internal staff, or other branches in strict compliance 
with handover guidelines. 
• Ensure all handover documentation is completed accurately and filed. 

Number Plate Management (KD & KG Plates) 
• Maintain safe custody of KD and KG dealer number plates, ensuring they are stored securely 
when not in use. 
• Track the issuance and return of all number plates using the designated log, ensuring full 
accountability at all times.

Key Management 

• Manage and safeguard keys for all vehicles on the lot, ensuring each key is tagged and stored 
correctly, and traceable. 
• Record all key issuances and returns in the key management register without exception.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Must hold a current, valid Kenyan driving license. 
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, with particular proficiency in Google Sheets for logging and tracking tasks. 
  • A certificate or diploma in automotive technology, mechanics, or a related field is an added advantage. 
  • Ability to capture accurate information during check-ins, handovers, and administrative logs. 
  • Ability to comfortably perform regular vehicle movement, site inspections, and hands-on operational tasks. 
  • Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs, meet deadlines, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. 
  • Works effectively within a structured team environment and communicates proactively with supervisors.
