JOB DESCRIPTION: SALES GROWTH EXECUTIVE

Job Purpose

The Sales Growth Executive is responsible for defining and driving QSSK’s sales growth strategy with a focus on revenue generation, market expansion, and business development. The SGE will work closely with the Growth Manager and other Sales executive leaders to identify and capture new opportunities, build a resilient sales pipeline, forge strategic partnerships, and expand QSS market share in Kenya.

Core Responsibilities

1.     Growth Strategy and Market Expansion

o    Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a robust growth strategy that aligns with QSSG’s mission and vision, driving sustainable revenue growth

o    Market Penetration: Identify and prioritize new market opportunities, establishing and executing market/ sector entry strategies that enhance QSSK’s competitive positioning.

o    Revenue Optimization: Lead initiatives to maximize revenue streams, diversify service offerings, and expand the customer base across target regions.

2.     Business Development and Sales Leadership

o    Pipeline Development: Build and oversee a high-quality sales pipeline to drive continuous business growth and ensure the achievement of revenue targets.

o    Client Acquisition and Retention: Design and implement client acquisition and retention strategies to enhance customer lifetime value and satisfaction.

o    Partnership Management: Establish and manage high-impact partnerships with government entities, multinational corporations, and regional partners to support business development and market expansion.

3.     Data-Driven Growth and Market Insights

o    Market Intelligence: Leverage data analytics and market research to gather insights on customer needs, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends, adjusting growth strategies accordingly.

o    Performance Metrics: Establish and track agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of growth initiatives, ensuring alignment with revenue and Kenyan market share goals.

o    Customer Segmentation: Use advanced segmentation to target priority customer groups, optimizing marketing and sales efforts for maximum impact.

4.     Cross-Functional Collaboration

o    Marketing Alignment: Partner with the Marketing Officer (MO) to ensure alignment between growth and marketing strategies, achieving consistency in brand messaging and effective customer acquisition.

o    Product Innovation: Collaborate with the Technology Officer (TO), Customer Officer (CO) and People Officer (PO) to introduce new services and solutions tailored to Kenyan market demands, staying competitive and relevant.

o    Financial Integration: Work with the FO to establish financial models and forecasts that support sustainable growth and efficient resource allocation.

Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or Customer Relationship Management are an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, account management, or commercial operations.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Experience in market expansion, customer acquisition, and relationship management.
  • Experience managing key accounts and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Prior experience in FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, technology, or service industries is an added advantage.
