Role Purpose
The Digital Marketing & Social Media Associate will support Greenwheels’ online voice and digital presence by creating engaging content, managing day-to-day social media activities, supporting digital campaigns, and tracking digital performance.
The role will contribute to building brand awareness and generating qualified leads for the Lease-to-Own driver pipeline. The Associate will work closely with the Digital Marketing & Social Media Lead to ensure Greenwheels’ story — sustainability, driver empowerment, and innovation — reaches the right audiences across digital channels.
Content & Social Media Management
- Support the development and execution of a content calendar across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn.
- Create and edit engaging photo, video, and written content, including driver stories, educational content, promotional content, and behind-the-scenes fleet content.
- Adapt content appropriately for different social media platforms and target audiences.
- Support basic photography and videography for digital content and marketing activities.
- Monitor relevant social media trends and identify opportunities for engaging and timely content.
- Manage day-to-day community engagement by responding to comments, messages, reviews, and enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Escalate sensitive or complex customer issues to the relevant team when required.
- Ensure content published across platforms follows Greenwheels’ approved brand voice, tone, and visual identity.
Campaigns & Lead Generation
- Support the Digital Marketing & Social Media Lead in planning and executing paid social and search campaigns, including Meta Ads and Google Ads.
- Assist with developing campaign creatives, copy, audiences, and calls-to-action to support lead generation.
- Support digital campaigns aimed at generating qualified leads for the Lease-to-Own programme.
- Coordinate with the Field Sales team to support digital campaigns aligned with driver recruitment activities and target territories.
- Monitor campaign performance and highlight key observations and areas for improvement to the Digital Marketing & Social Media Lead.
- Support testing of different ad creatives, targeting, and messaging to improve campaign performance and lead quality.
- Assist in tracking digital leads and campaign results.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track key digital performance metrics, including follower growth, engagement rate, reach, clicks, leads generated, and cost per lead.
- Support the preparation of weekly and monthly digital marketing performance reports.
- Use available analytics tools to identify trends and insights that can improve content and campaign performance.
- Maintain accurate records of content and campaign performance.
- Provide the Digital Marketing & Social Media Lead with relevant insights and observations from digital performance data.
Brand & Website
- Support the maintenance and updating of the Greenwheels website and blog with fresh and relevant content.
- Ensure digital content remains consistent with Greenwheels’ brand voice, visual identity, and messaging.
- Support the development of digital marketing materials and other online brand assets.
- Coordinate with external agencies, photographers, content creators, or influencers as directed by the Digital Marketing & Social Media Lead.
Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing & Social Media Lead to execute the digital marketing and social media plan.
- Collaborate with Field Sales, Customer Operations, and other relevant teams to gather information, customer insights, and content required for digital activities.
- Support marketing campaigns, events, promotions, and other initiatives requiring digital content and social media support.
- Complete assigned tasks within agreed timelines and provide regular updates on progress.
Performance Metrics
Performance in this role will be measured against agreed targets, including:
- Follower and audience growth across priority platforms.
- Engagement rate, including likes, comments, shares, and saves.
- Reach and content performance.
- Leads generated through digital channels.
- Cost per lead and other agreed campaign performance metrics.
- Content calendar adherence and publishing consistency.
- Quality and consistency of published content.
- Timeliness and accuracy of digital marketing reports.
- Timely execution of assigned digital marketing activities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of practical experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or a related role.
- Experience creating and managing social media content for a consumer-facing brand is an added advantage.
Advantageous Experience

Skills & Abilities
- Strong copywriting and visual storytelling skills.
- Good understanding of social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Working knowledge of Meta Business Suite and Meta Ads Manager.
- Basic knowledge or exposure to Google Ads is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Canva or similar graphic design tools.
- Basic video editing skills using CapCut or similar mobile editing tools.
- Basic photography and videography skills.
- Good understanding of social media trends and audience engagement.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing metrics, including reach, engagement, clicks, leads, and cost per lead.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Creative, proactive, and willing to learn.
- Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and work collaboratively with the Digital Marketing & Social Media Lead and wider team.
