Job Summary Our client in the hospitality industry is seeking to hire a disciplined and hardworking Kitchen Steward to support back-of-house.The Kitchen Steward will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within the kitchen, washing dishes and kitchen equipment, handling waste disposal, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene procedures,operations in a fast-paced five-star hospitality environment. . The role requires an individual who is organized, physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently within a high-standard hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, workstations, storage areas, and food preparation areas.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of kitchen equipment and supplies.
Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic kitchen preparation and operational support when required.
Dispose of waste materials following hygiene and safety procedures.
Ensure garbage collection areas remain clean and properly maintained.
Refill cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of low stock levels.
Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow all food safety, health, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness during conferences, banquets, and large-scale events.
Ensure compliance with five-star hospitality cleanliness and presentation standards.
Respond promptly to cleaning requests from kitchen and food & beverage teams.
Support deep cleaning schedules and routine kitchen maintenance activities
Requirements
Diploma or certificate in hospitality
Certificate in Food Production, Hospitality, or related field is an added advantage.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Kitchen Steward within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment is a MUST.
Experience working in a busy or five-star hospitality setup is highly preferred.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
