FXE-MEISA: Ramp Handler

Position Summary
A Ramp Handler plays a key role in airport ground operations, ensuring aircraft are serviced safely, efficiently, and on time. This role involves handling cargo and baggage, supporting aircraft turnaround, and maintaining clear communication with the operations team. You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft
• Sort and transfer items to designated areas within the airport
• Assist in aircraft arrival and departure activities, including guiding aircraft on the ramp (where trained)
• Operate ground support equipment and vehicles safely
• Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of cargo and baggage
• Follow all safety and security procedures at all times
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet operational deadlines
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the ramp and in sorting areas

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Education (KCSE or equivalent)
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to follow strict guidelines
