We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and experienced House Manager to join a private household. This is a dual-role position combining structured childcare support with high-standard household management. During weekdays, the role focuses on maintaining an organized and well-run home while the child is in daycare. Mornings, evenings, and weekends require attentive, nurturing childcare, ensuring the child’s safety, development, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily cleaning duties: sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining all living areas.
Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces are consistently clean, organized, and hygienic.
Manage laundry for the household: washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organization.
Monitor household supplies (cleaning materials and toiletries) and support in inventory tracking and restocking.
Support morning routines, including dressing, feeding, and preparing the child for daycare.
Provide attentive evening care: feeding, bathing, and engaging the child in age-appropriate developmental activities (reading, play, learning exercises).
Offer full-day childcare support during weekends (based on an agreed schedule).
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for the child at all times.
Monitor the child’s well-being and apply basic first aid where necessary. Prepare daily meals, with a focus on Indian cuisine (e.g., dal, sabzi, roti, and rice), following family preferences.
Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and food hygiene.
Assist with meal preparation, including ingredient prep for evening meals.
Ensure proper storage and organization of food items and kitchen equipment.
Requirements
Experience: 2–5 years in a similar role (nanny, house manager, or domestic worker), preferably in structured or multicultural households.
Culinary Skills: Willingness to learn basic Italian cooking is highly desirable.
Communication: Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
Trustworthy and dependable
Child-friendly and patient
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Adaptable to different cultures and routines
Documentation: Valid Kenyan National ID and verifiable references are mandatory.
