Lodge Manager | Luxury Lodge | Kenya

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Lodge Manager for a luxury lodge in Kenya. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional with exceptional leadership skills and a flair for creating unforgettable guest experiences in a luxury safari setting.

Salary: USD3,000 – USD3,500 nett per month (DOE)
Position: Live-in

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lodge while ensuring exceptional service standards and creating authentic, memorable experiences for every guest. This role is ideally suited to a hands-on manager who understands that luxury hospitality is about more than accommodation—it is about crafting meaningful moments, from personalised guest interactions to unforgettable evenings around the campfire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the lodge across all departments
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences from arrival through to departure
  • Lead, mentor and motivate the lodge team to maintain the highest service standards
  • Create unique and memorable guest experiences that reflect the property’s identity
  • Host guests and build genuine relationships throughout their stay
  • Coordinate special experiences, including campfire evenings, bush dining and other personalised activities
  • Ensure food, beverage and housekeeping standards consistently exceed expectations
  • Manage staff schedules, operational logistics and departmental performance
  • Monitor budgets, stock control and operational costs
  • Work closely with guiding and hospitality teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Maintain health, safety and operational standards at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Lodge Manager within a luxury safari lodge is essential
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest service and personalised hospitality
  • Hands-on management style with excellent operational knowledge
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Financial and administrative management experience
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems effectively
  • Experience working in remote lodge environments
  • Passion for creating authentic safari experiences and memorable guest interactions
