Description

  • Design and execute comprehensive manual and automated test strategies, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into detailed test cases, scenarios, and test plans, working closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Teams.
  • Execute test plans, document results, and manage defect life cycles, ensuring timely logging, prioritization, tracking, and resolution of issues.
  • Validate APIs, integrations, and back-end services, including data accuracy, reconciliation logic, and system performance across interconnected platforms.
  • Maintain and optimize testing environments, tools, and automation frameworks to improve efficiency, coverage, and repeatability of testing activities.
  • Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing scripts, facilitating stakeholders, and ensuring readiness for go-live.
  • Provide independent quality assurance oversight across project phases, including quality gates, risk assessments, and objective evaluation of vendor and delivery outputs.
  • Produce clear assurance reports, risk insights, and go-live recommendations, while engaging business, ICT, and vendor leadership to drive timely remediation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience leading QA/IQA for core banking or large-scale financial transformation programs.
  • Led at least two full Core Banking System (CBS) replacement or migration assurance engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, PMO governance, and regulatory frameworks (CBK, DPA, IFRS9, AML/CFT).
  • Experience delivering multi-disciplinary assurance across governance, data, testing, integrations, security, and cutover readiness.
  • Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter).
  • Familiarity with API and integration testing using tools such as Postman.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, and hybrid delivery models.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills; experience with tools such as Jira and Git is an added advantage.
