Our client a leading vertically integrated textile solutions provider based in Ruiru, Kenya. They are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and results-driven professional to join our team as a Transport & Security Officer.

Position: Transport & Security Officer

Location: Ruiru, Kenya
Department: Human Resource
Reports To: Human Resource Administration Manager
Direct Report: Fleet Coordinator

Role Summary

The Transport & Security Officer will provide leadership and oversight of the Company’s security operations and fleet management functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, ensuring efficient transport operations, managing security risks, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Security Management

  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  • Supervise security personnel and ensure effective deployment.
  • Lead investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee CCTV reviews and incident reporting.

Fleet Management

  • Oversee fleet maintenance, inspections, and compliance.
  • Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel efficiency, and driver conduct.
  • Ensure all company vehicles remain roadworthy.
  • Liaise with NTSA, insurers, and other regulatory authorities.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor security and transport teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement and system enhancements.
  • Coordinate staff training and development initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.

External Engagement & CSR

  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, law enforcement, and transport authorities.
  • Coordinate approved Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Fleet Management, Criminal Investigation, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of security operations and fleet management.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and accountable personality.
